Virtual Reality and 360 storytelling is a field full of innovators. They are no set boundaries and most creators are figuring out innovative rules as they go. This makes the medium exciting but at the same time a little frustrating as there are no set rules for what works in VR and what doesn’t. One major challenge in VR content creation is directing user attention.
At VadR we are continously working to help VR content developers create quality content. We recently added support for 360 degree Video and Image analytics along with a lot of interesting changes to our platform. We have also launched a new version of our Unity SDK. With these changes, we hope VR content creators can get even better insights into their users’ behaviour.

In a true VR application, user is cut off from his surroundings. In such a case along with user gaze (where he/she is looking in the content) his movement also becomes important in understanding his behaviour. Using heatmaps are a good choice to visualize movement data.
